It looks like your snippets aren't currently being shared. If you go into preferences and click on the sharing tab, make sure that your have sharing turned on. If you do, then turn it off, close preferences and then reopen it and start sharing again.. This will refresh the sharing.
Thanks
Martin

Have done, still no fix. Added new snippets and they show up but I can't view them (or any).
One thing I have noticed is that once I close preferences and re-open my password has been shortened from 16 to 8 characters.
Support Staff 4 Posted by Martin Pilkington on 13 Jul, 2010 02:09 PM
The password length isn't an issue, CCP doesn't actually display your password but just 8 characters to say a password is there. This is for security reasons. Not quite sure what is going wrong though. Is there any chance you could send me your library so i can test it myself and make sure it isn't an issue with the snippets you're trying to share. You use the instructions in this link to find it: http://support.mcubedsw.com/faqs/code-collector-pro/database-location
Thanks
Martin

Nothing sensitive in it

Hi Reynish,
Sorry it has taken so long to reply. I'll take a look into it this week. Sorry I can't manage it sooner as I've been feeling quite ill.
Thanks
Martin

It's ok Martin. I've only just bought the awesome Code Collector, so I guess if I've lived without it this long I can wait a little longer ;-)
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Reynish,
I've had a look and I can't get it to upload your snippets either, but i have no idea why. From what I can tell it is working fine in CCP, so I can only assume it is a problem on the server. I'll keep looking and see if i can fix it after I've fully recovered. The current codecollector.net source isn't something I want to touch until I'm 100%. If it does turn out to be a bug in CCP I'll release an update as soon as I figure out the cause.
Thanks
Martin

Hi Romulo,

Thanks
Martin

I've attached what I think is the library. By the way I'm noticing another issue. When I use a global short cut to allow me to search the Code Collector database and I select the option "Open in Code Collector" I see the CC focus to the front for a second but then it dissappears.

Hi Romulo
Thanks for the database. Hopefully it will help with solving the problem.
Thanks
Martin

Martin, I am having the same PHP errors but only with some of my most recently added snippets (as you know I've been around a few versions). Would you like my library or have the others given you what you need.
Support Staff 14 Posted by Martin Pilkington on 08 Sep, 2010 11:54 AM
I haven't had the time to look into it yet, I've actually got it next on my list of things to look into this week. Might be able to get into it later today. I'll let you know if I need your database but I might be able to get by without it.
Thanks
Martin

Awesome, tnx.

Ok the pattern I've noticed seems to be this... any snippets from after N time period or N version of the app gives a zero index in the URL. For example:
http://www.codecollector.net/seyDoggy/html/1966/STICKER_HTML
has 1966 in the path and this works, where:
http://www.codecollector.net/seyDoggy/html/0/hCard__Microformats
has 0 in the path and it fails.
This is true of all snippets that are failing, they have a 0 instead of some other incrementing index. Has your program perhaps reached it's own counter limit? Y2K perhaps? ;)

Took a while but I think I got it. Some prat forgot to update the size of a field on the live database. It means that it was complaining about non-unique data. Hopefully it should all be fixed now. If you go into yout sharing preferences and turn sharing off and then on again it should refresh all your snippets.
Thanks
Martin

Martin, you are the man. FYI, I had to turn them all off and then on again one at a time. Seemed to be the only way to trigger their reappearance on the web.
