Tickets > #1000 not downloaded?
Lighthousekeeper seems unfit to handle Projects with more than
1000 Tickets.
Only Tickets up to #1000 are downloaded. Creating new
tickets work but several display fields seem only able to handle 3
digits. See https://skitch.com/mdor/gt58y/skitched-20111216-085849

Hmm. Could you open the project in Lighthouse in your browser. It should be something along the lines of youraccount.lighthouseapp.com/projects/1234-project-name. At the end of this can you add /tickets/updates.json?page=2, so you end up with youraccount.lighthouseapp.com/projects/1234-project-name/tickets/updates.json?page=2. You will have to enter your username and password after visiting the page. Can you tell me if it displays just [] or displays a list of ticket numbers and dates (and if this starts at 1000).
I suspect what might be happening is that Lighthouse is only returning 1000 tickets at a time from that URL. Unfortunately they haven't stated that anywhere so I've been working on the assumption all tickets are returned, but that seems not to be the case. If it is what I suspect then I'll try to get it fixed for 2.0.1.
Thanks
Martin

On Page 2 I get:
[{number,
I forgot to mention: NEver saw this PRoblem with Lighthouse Keeper 1.1.8 - although the 1.x series missed often when tickets where closed - which really annoyed me.
I think in my company we use 4 copies of Lighthouse Keeper and have 6 Projects with more than 1000 Tickets.

Ok, it's what I thought then. I'll get this fixed in 2.0.1. I don't have a time frame for it just yet but it will probably be at the start of January.
Thanks
Martin

Thanks for the feedback!
Goot to see the issue cornered and fixable,

Just a friendly reminder. Currently I still use 1.x but it has the issue of not seeing all status updates. So I'm eager to update to 2.x.

I actually started work on fixing this issue today. I'll hopefully have an update out in the next few weeks that should fix this.
Thanks
Martin

I'm also seeing this. Just bought the app and it only downloaded 1 ticket, #106. The project is for an app that is several years old so our current work is in the 7000s.

Any ideas on a possible release date?

Hi Adam,
Hopefully within the next few weeks. It's taking longer than expected to fix some bugs.
Thanks
Martin

What's the word on this? I've been completely unable to use the product. Is there a way to request a refund?

Hi Adam,
I'm hoping to get 2.0.1 out tomorrow (at least for non-App Store customers). Sorry it has taken so long, it's been a mixture of things taking longer to fix than expected and other things getting in the way. It should fix all the main bugs people have reported, including this.
Thanks
Martin

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in getting this out. I've just uploaded 2.0.1. If you could download it, perform a full download (Tickets > Get All) and let me know if it downloads everything. It should work (it definitely does for milestones and ticket bins now) but I want to double check before I release it to everyone. The download is available here: http://www.mcubedsw.com/downloads/lighthousekeeper_2.0.1.zip
Thanks
Martin

Should I uninstall the App Store version first or does it matter? Will I need a license key?
Support Staff 15 Posted by Martin Pilkington on 28 Feb, 2012 02:45 PM
It should work in trial mode. Unfortunately the App Store version will take a while as it needs to go through the review process, but that should hopefully only take a few days. Don't delete the App Store version though.
Thanks
Martin

Well, it initially downloaded 5k tickets (out of about 8k) but the next "Get Updates" made them all disappear, showing 0 tickets.

May have been problems with Lighthouse though, the web UI took a few tries to get in and LHK seems to be trying to download all 8k tickets now.

Hmm, well let me know if it breaks again. At least it seems the > 1000 tickets bug is fixed. I'll probably hold of releasing it fully until tomorrow just to see if anything else crops up.
Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,
It seems to be working now, but anytime I hit get updates it hangs at about 80% for anywhere between 10-30 minutes. I noticed a few other things, and I can open another ticket if you like. Long links are truncated in ticket descriptions, and hovering does not show the full link in a tooltip, so I have to click it to even have an idea of what it points to. Also, when I select update ticket I'm presented with a window that shows tag by defaults. We have a lot of tags and it literally filled my monitor making it impossible to see the text entry portion of the window. Finally, column widths are not remembered, and I constantly have to resize "Title" so it's more than a few characters wide.
Thanks!

Hi Adam,
I'll make a note of these and get them fixed for the next release. Hopefully it won't take as long as this one did
Thanks
Martin
